Hi there,a long time ago i had some tapes and record of W.S. Burroughs reading some of his materiel. The tapes were of the cheap variety and just desintegrated and the record was sold(along with all my other records) be me when i needed the money. Yes, that was a less intelligent act on my part. However i would like to start again collecting his words on cd this time and am presently on the lookout. Does anyone out there know of that. I particular liked some parts of the novel The place of dead roads but am also interested in earlier stuff and especially of The cities of the Red Night. One of his most brilliant books.
Hope somebody will get back at me with some interesting info.
Take care, stay well.
Eric

Re: Recordings of William S. Burroughs.
Thu, October 20, 2005 - 9:36 AMThere's a WSB box set (www.amazon.com/exec/obido...847-3246354
and there's always Breakthrough in the grey room and Dead City Radio.
Spare ass Annie and other tales is ok but the point is that there's sampled early 90s rap/hip-hop behind his words.
